Donate to the Scottish Wildcat Association

Saving the Scottish wildcat is going to take a lot of hard work and a little bit of money as well; we are a registered Scottish charity (number SC040397) and take donations from the general public, organisations and businesses around the world who want to play their part, however small, in helping this beautiful animal survive into the future.

The Scottish Wildcat Association requires only the lowest possible overheads; we don't maintain property, our entire team are voluntary and commercial sponsors help us meet many other costs, as a result almost your entire donation will be spent directly on the conservation and welfare of Scottish wildcats, you can keep up to date with everything we're doing on our campaigns page.

Gift Aid for UK taxpayers
If you're a UK taxpayer you can also fill out a Gift Aid declaration which means we'll be able to claim back from the UK government tax you've already paid on that money; adding 28p to every £1 you give! No matter how you choose to donate just fill out our Gift Aid Declaration and either post or e-mail it to us at the same time as you donate! Please note Gift Aid is only allowed for UK taxpayers!

Donate online by credit card, debit card or Paypal
We use Paypal, a low cost online payments system to receive donations from cards, e-cheques and Paypal accounts. Paypal is a highly trusted and secure system used worldwide, they process all transactions and don't even pass on your credit card details to us; click here for more info about Paypal.

Donate through the post by cheque
Simply send a cheque made payable to "Scottish Wildcat Association" care of our solicitors;

Scottish Wildcat Association

Donate directly from your monthly wages with payroll giving
Payroll Giving is a great way for people employed in the UK to make regular donations; just speak to your employer or payroll department to see if they are signed up to the scheme, if they are ask them for a form and donate as much as you want to the Scottish Wildcat Association from your paycheque each month. One of the great things about payroll giving is that it is deducted before tax, so it only costs you £8 to donate £10 every paycheque!

If your employer hasn't signed up for payroll giving yet it's pretty simple to do, encourage them to visit HMRC Payroll Giving or Payroll Giving Centre to find out more.

Donate your self assessment tax rebate
If you complete a self assessment tax return you can nominate the Scottish Wildcat Association to receive any rebate you may be due; just add our details in your next self assessment form when prompted to do so near the end, any donations we receive this way will also automatically receive Gift Aid payments from the government as well!

Donate part of your Ebay sales
If you sell regularly on Ebay or just have one thing to get rid of, you can sign up for a percentage of the sale price to be donated to us and Ebay will give you a few nice benefits for your generosity. Firstly you'll get a fee credit equal to the amount you decide to donate, so donate 50% and you'll get 50% off your fees. Charity listings get a little blue and yellow charity ribbon icon next to them in the general listings as well as being added to the additional item lists for charity auctions so they get seen and noticed by more people. It's a great way to give to the wildcats and you can find out lots more at the Ebay for Charity page. Boost your donation by even more on Ebay by using the Everyclick Give as You Live website to do your Ebay trading and buying!

Use Everyclick as your search engine
Everyclick is a unique search engine where everytime someone does a search, a small donation is made to charity; it costs you nothing at all, just use Everyclick instead of your regular search engine and you'll be raising funds for the SWA! You can find quick search boxes around the website or go directly to our search page at www.everyclick.com/scottishwildcats. You can also use EVeryclick to make donations, set up sponsorship campaigns, go shopping or even post local classifieds and all the earnings generated are shared with charities.

Leaving to the Association in your will
Legacies are a huge source of donations for UK charities which are free of inheritance tax and can also reduce the tax burden on your own estate. Legacies can be gifts of money or other assets specified in your will or added by amendment (called a codicil) prepared with the help of a solicitor or will writer.

Donate part of your time
It isn't all about money, we can't operate without a lot of people giving up generous amounts of their time too, if you're interested in getting involved have a look at our volunteering page.
